Consulted for a local municipality to obtain permits for stabilizing approximately 200 feet of creek bank on the Napa River to secure and protect an existing sewer line. Developed a riparian enhancement planting plan designed to benefit special-status anadromous fish and wildlife.
Identified an off-site mitigation property to create and enhance vernal pool habitat and California Tiger Salamander (CTS) habitat on the Santa Rosa Plain. The project was to serve as mitigation for a pre-existing violation for one client and mitigation for development of an off-loading facility for another. The mitigation project proposed to construct approximately 13.81 acres of seasonal wetlands and preserve approximately 2.13 acres of high-quality seasonal wetlands on the project site.
Assisted various clients with violations issued by the County of Sonoma for unauthorized grading in oak woodlands. Prepared biological resource assessments for each property as required by the County and prepared oak woodland mitigation plans.
Prepared biological assessment and mitigation plans for private landowners within the Coastal Zone. Designed reduced setback alternatives to Environmentally Sensitive Habitat Areas identified within the Local Coastal Plan.
Conducted a wetland delineation and rare plant survey on approximately 130 acres proposed for a solar facility. Provided recommended setbacks from sensitive habitats including wetlands and creeks.
